About the Cruise

The boat cruise leaves from the skiboat club at Beacon Isle. From here on you can just unwind and savor the warm rays of the sun, sipp on a glass of bubbly or an ice cold beer, and enjoy the scenery. Spot our Marine Giants while tanning on trampolines, put out a line to see what bites, or take a snorkel at the old shipwreck.

We will sail out to the Seal Colony and The Robberg Nature reserve –  a protected area. It is one of South Africa’s most interesting, beautiful and diverse reserves and is also a national monument because of the fascinating Stone Age caves , which offer a glimpse into our ancient past. Rocks from this region date back 120 million years . The reserve is famed for its flourishing Cape fur seal colony, whales, dolphins, coastal bird life and unique fynbos. The marine reserve also extends 1.8km offshore, providing protection to a range of vulnerable fish species. See our sightings page for a list of some of the many species you may encounter.

On our way back we will drop anchor and enjoy delicious snacks, or even a BBQ should you wish. Enquire about our unique catering packages. We braai your catch of the day, or invite our chef onboard to cater for you. Our standard charters include light mezze platters, but we can customise each charter to suit your needs, anything from romantic dinners to a traditional braai on board. For function or overnight stays: We can accommodate 12 guests on a cruise, 8 guests overnight or 30 for an event while anchored. We make it our mission to create a feeling of warmth and luxury with some fun and adventure if that’s what is called for, to ensure that each experience is unique and personal.

When we are anchored there’s ample time for swimming, snorkeling and supping on our longer cruises. For the fishing enthusiast – Our boat is also fully equipped for fishing to access shallower areas in the lagoon for, where the famous kabeljou, grunter etc can be caught. We may even be lucky to find some chokka in the bay. Contact us to enquire about dedicated private fishing charters.

SURROUNDINGS

The Garden Route is a coastal passage that runs between the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma Mountains, of which Knysna is the heart. Situated on the shore of the Indian Ocean, the natural beauty is astounding. Knysna Heads must be the most striking geological features along the entire southern African coastline. The heads form a channel through which the ocean enters in to the magical Knysna Lagoon, at the mouth of the Knysna River. Along the coast there are Pristine beaches bordered by indigenous Fynbos, sandstone mountains roll into beautiful lakes and forests line the background of it all.

Plettenberg Bay offers a truly exceptional beauty and diversity of animals. The seal colony of about 8000 offers true entertainment in itself. Come experience why Plett is the playground of the rich and famous, from a different perspective!
